What's different
The secret is a design constraint, not a setting
Most gift lists leak: a “3 claimed” counter, a greyed-out row, a gift that quietly vanishes. One leak is enough to spoil it. Here the recipient's view is computed separately: reservations made by other people simply aren't in the data we send them. It isn't a checkbox somebody has to remember to tick.
Details, not guesswork
Title, photo, budget, priority, and as many links as you want. People know what to buy, in which size, and where.
Drafts
An idea that isn't ready stays a draft. Nobody sees it until you publish, so you can fill the list up over the year.
Suggestions from your people
A friend can add an idea to your list. You don't see it; everyone else does, and they can claim it. Surprises, organised by committee.
