Is it actually free?

Yes. Kado is a personal project on my own servers, with no investors to pay back. One more user costs close to nothing.

Do you sell my data?

No. There's no advertising, no third-party tracker, and nothing sold on. The only data stored is what you type in: your lists, your gifts, your people.

Can I see who claimed something on my list?

No, and it isn't a setting. The recipient's view is built without that information. The one exception is reservations you made yourself on your own list, which you already know about.

What if you shut it down?

You'd get plenty of warning and a way to export your lists. A gift list doesn't deserve a lock-in.
